Threats of tailgating
A tailgating attack can be especially dangerous to mid-sized and larger organizations as there is too much at stake. Examples: stealing company secrets, data, source code, money, and equipment. Another severe example is to install a backdoor to the server to eavesdrop on every conversation on the company’s network.
In brief it may lead to
- Unauthorized access to resources in organization
- Data theft
- Network intrusion
- Physical theft
- Identity theft
