Ergonomics of Desktop/Laptop use
While working on computers, children should ensure they use a desk and chair that helps them sit in an upright position. The position should be such that the head and neck are upright and in-line with the torso and not bent down or tilted back.
Students should ensure to maintain proper posture while using digital devices to avoid strain on the back, shoulders and neck. They should minimize screen time and avoid overuse of digital devices to relax sufficiently. They should ensure to find the right balance between indoor and outdoor physical activities.
While working on personal computers, students should ensure they place the laptop screen such that the neck can be held straight. Also, adjust the position of the display in such a way to prevent reflections or outdoor lighting.
